SEKGOSESE STAR ON GIYANI LAND OF BLOOD

Suzan Nkuzana (Maeko) from Senwamokgope Township is excited about her debut acting gig on the new drama series called Giyani Land of Blood that is aired Monday to Wednesday on SABC 2 between 21h30 to 22h00.

By Joey Wa Rabapane

Nkuzana who is originally from Nkuzana village plays the character of a loving woman by the name of Ringani who hates to be undermined and gets angry sometimes.

“The character does not relate to me in real life because Ringani is a stay-home Tsonga woman who only rely on her husband for money whereas in real life I am a Principal [at Berea primary school]”, she told Sekgosese Insider.

However, the only relation is that she is also a sweet Tsonga woman who loves people.

She works with the high profile actors and actresses who have already made names for themselves in the industry however she is not intimidated.

“I am working with experienced actors and I am not intimidated by that because they are loving and we are one big family. It is very much interesting to work with them because they always guide”, added Nkuzana.

She is inspired by Florence Masebe who she said did not allow the industry to change who she is.

Nkuzana who is from the royal family aims to make Limpopo people proud and pave a way for aspirant actors and actresses from rural areas.

“Actors and actresses in rural areas are not different from those in urban areas therefore they can make it in the industry. Stop undermining and limiting yourselves.

They should make use of every opportunity presented to them in a form of acting auditions. I got my acting gig through acting auditions held last year in April” she told Sekgosese Insider.

NKUZANA AND EDUCATION

She is very much passionate about education and she believes that one cannot do anything without education.

“I worked at Mahochomba thereafter Ramaite primary school as an HOD and in 2012 I was appointed as the principal at Berea primary in Rotterdam village until today”, said Nkuzana.

She obtained her education qualifications at Shingwedzi college of Education, Technology degree at UNISA, Management degree and honours at University of Pretoria, Leadership and Management certificate at University of Limpopo.
Nkuzana is the product of Nkuzana primary, Hanyani secondary and Hluvuka high school.

“I am also involved in community development activities. Currently I am the deputy secretary of Sekgosese Community Forum that is in a fight against crime and encourages youth to commit on their studies”, she concluded.
