BALOYI BUILT AND UNVEILED A STATUE IN HIS HONOUR


The Managing Director of Vutlhari Stimulation & Disability Centre told Sekgosese Insider that he had spent 26 years carring for disabled people and for that reason he deserved to be honoured.

However, he decided to honour himself because no one “recognized him”.



The statue was officially unveiled during his birthday on the 12th of April at Roerfontein village outside the centre. He shares his birthday with the former president Jacob Zuma.

He advised disabled people to never be afraid to voice their concerns to South African government. 
                                 

SEKGOSESE TEAM WINS MAYOR'S CUP


Flying Birds FC From Thabanatshwana Village in Sekgosese Area are Champs of Greater Letaba Mayor's Cup 2019 following a 4-2 victory on penalties shootout over Ga-Sekgopo New Castle.

The new champions for the cup tournament had to be decided via the penalty shootout following a 1-1 draw.

“I am over the moon and credit should go to the boys, they have managed to follow my instructions and tactics", said Flying Birds FC coach, Thabang Sekoba who just won this cup back to back.

Last year he won Mayor's Cup with Turbo FC from Senwamokgope Township when the tournament was hosted at Mokwakwaila Stadium.

This year the champions, Flying Birds FC have walked away with R6000-00, 21 gold medals, trophy and soccer ball. Their players, Mojalefa Rahlapane won top goal scorer and Gift received a Player of the Tournament award.

“Our team boss, Mabasa is overwhelmed by this achievement because the journey was not easy. You can win this cup only if you are strong and good in planning" Sekoba told Sekgosese Insider.

The finals were hosted at Mohlabaneng Sports complex on the 14th April 2019,
Mayors Cup is an annual tournament hosted by Greater Letaba Municipality and this year was hosted at Mohlabaneng sports complex.

SEKGOSESE FM PRESENTER JOINS VISION FM


Moyahabo Shadrack Mokgobi left Sekgosese FM and joined the only Christian radio station in Limpopo province, Vision FM previously known as Don’t Blame God FM (DBG FM 88.5).

He officially joined the station on Monday and went on air on tuesday, 16 April presenting a show called ‘Think for yourself’ between 12h00 and 15h00 from Monday to Friday. He joined the station together with Sasi Bvuma, a former News Reader at Sekgosese FM.

“I have now found a new home in Vision FM and my move from Sekgosese FM symbolizes progress in my life”, said Mokgobi who is known to his listeners as Tlou ya Bolobedu.

Last week Friday, 12 April was his last day at Sekgosese FM however he did not notify the listeners of his departure from the station.

“I did not get the chance to say goodbye to Sekgosese FM listeners on air therefore I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the listeners for the support they have given since 2014. I am also grateful to Sekgosese FM management for the opportunity they have given me.

His breakthrough into radio industry was in 2014 at Sekgosese FM when he joined the station as a radio drama actor and later absorbed as a presenter.

“It was in December 2014 on Sunday when I received a call from the Programmes Manager asking me to stand in for a presenter who was absent from duty then from there I was absorbed as the presenter”, added Mokgobi.

During his era at Sekgosese FM he had won several awards including best presentable presenter, programme scheduler, content producer and male presenter.

“My role models in the radio industry are Happiness Maake from Thobela FM and Joey Wa Rabapane who is the former News Editor and Executive Producer respectively at Sekgosese FM and Vision FM”, he told Sekgosese Insider.

Mokgobi’s goal is to work for a national radio station in the near future.


O TLO SILIMA DROPS THIS EASTER FRIDAY

DJ December will this Easter Friday releases his debut album titiled O Tlo Silima.

It will be the very same day wherein he will be performing at DJ Maeli’s Annual Birthday Bash at Garden of Eden in Senwamokgpe township and proceed to Seaphole Easter Celebration at Seaphole Guest House in Seaphole village, Bolobedu area later that day.

“In this album I worked with DJ Mphoroza and Themba Manganyi”, said DJ December whose real names are Manthole Emmanuel Mashala from Roerfontein village.

His album is made up of 8 house tracks and people can get copies by placing an order by calling or sending WhatsApp text on 0834653203. Each copy cost only R60.

“The title track O Tlo Silima simply advices lovers to avoid going through each other Cellphones as they may cause unnecessary tension especially going through their social media accounts”, added DJ December.

His album is dominated by love songs  sang in Sepedi and Xitsonga.

NGALIZO MOVES WITH TIME

Ngalizo Terror
John Moagi AKA Ngalizo Terror from Lulekani Matiko-Xikaya village in Phalaborwa is a versatile musician who moves with time.

His music that is a combination of new Xitsonga disco with kwaito & house elements keeps his fans in Phalaborwa and surrounding areas dancing and asking for more.

 “I have worked with Joe Shirimani, Abel Chauke and many others while in Johannesburg [Gauteng Provinve] a couple of years ago”, Ngalizo Terror told Sekgosese Insider.

He also worked with Limpopo’s favourite artist King Monada, Janisto & CK, PoshyGal, King Salama, Mthimbani, Cool B, Forsta Teanet, Mapele, Kimero, Majoro the boss, Handy Boy and Master Kenny.

One of his highlight and precious moment in the music industry was when he performed at Annual Marula Festival in Phalaborwa and during FIFA World Cup promotional event at Nkowankowa stadium.
Ngalizo Terror is not just a musician but a sound engineer, producer, guitarist and pianist.

“My father was a guitarist and also played other traditional instruments especially Marimba. My mother was the leader of traditional Xibelani dance group and she won several awards, therefore music is in my veins”, said Ngalizo Terror.

It is not surprising why he joined the music industry while he was young at the age of 15 and started performing at local stores.

He admitted that there is a serious competition in the music industry and one thing that kills the moral of artists is piracy.

Nonetheless, he keeps on pushing and so far together with his Manager, Thomas Chabalala had managed to build a proper recording studio under the name Makhowa & Maisimane Production.
Ngalizo Terror further told Sekgosese Insider that he draws his inspiration from Penny Penny and the late Peta Teanet.

SEKGOSESE STAR ON GIYANI LAND OF BLOOD

Suzan Nkuzana (Maeko) from Senwamokgope Township is excited about her debut acting gig on the new drama series called Giyani Land of Blood that is aired Monday to Wednesday on SABC 2 between 21h30 to 22h00.

Nkuzana who is originally from Nkuzana village plays the character of a loving woman by the name of Ringani who hates to be undermined and gets angry sometimes.

“The character does not relate to me in real life because Ringani is a stay-home Tsonga woman who only rely on her husband for money whereas in real life I am a Principal [at Berea primary school]”, she told Sekgosese Insider.

However, the only relation is that she is also a sweet Tsonga woman who loves people.

She works with the high profile actors and actresses who have already made names for themselves in the industry however she is not intimidated.

“I am working with experienced actors and I am not intimidated by that because they are loving and we are one big family. It is very much interesting to work with them because they always guide”, added Nkuzana.

She is inspired by Florence Masebe who she said did not allow the industry to change who she is.

Nkuzana who is from the royal family aims to make Limpopo people proud and pave a way for aspirant actors and actresses from rural areas.

“Actors and actresses in rural areas are not different from those in urban areas therefore they can make it in the industry. Stop undermining and limiting yourselves.

They should make use of every opportunity presented to them in a form of acting auditions. I got my acting gig through acting auditions held last year in April” she told Sekgosese Insider.

NKUZANA AND EDUCATION

She is very much passionate about education and she believes that one cannot do anything without education.

“I worked at Mahochomba thereafter Ramaite primary school as an HOD and in 2012 I was appointed as the principal at Berea primary in Rotterdam village until today”, said Nkuzana.

She obtained her education qualifications at Shingwedzi college of Education, Technology degree at UNISA, Management degree and honours at University of Pretoria, Leadership and Management certificate at University of Limpopo.
Nkuzana is the product of Nkuzana primary, Hanyani secondary and Hluvuka high school.

“I am also involved in community development activities. Currently I am the deputy secretary of Sekgosese Community Forum that is in a fight against crime and encourages youth to commit on their studies”, she concluded.
