Ngalizo Terror |
John Moagi AKA Ngalizo Terror from Lulekani
Matiko-Xikaya village in Phalaborwa is a versatile musician who moves with
time.
His music that is a combination of new
Xitsonga disco with kwaito & house elements keeps his fans in Phalaborwa
and surrounding areas dancing and asking for more.
“I
have worked with Joe Shirimani, Abel Chauke and many others while in
Johannesburg [Gauteng Provinve] a couple of years ago”, Ngalizo Terror told Sekgosese
Insider.
He also worked with Limpopo’s favourite
artist King Monada, Janisto & CK, PoshyGal, King Salama, Mthimbani, Cool B,
Forsta Teanet, Mapele, Kimero, Majoro the boss, Handy Boy and Master Kenny.
One of his highlight and precious moment in
the music industry was when he performed at Annual Marula Festival in
Phalaborwa and during FIFA World Cup promotional event at Nkowankowa stadium.
Ngalizo Terror is not just a musician but a
sound engineer, producer, guitarist and pianist.
“My father was a guitarist and also played
other traditional instruments especially Marimba. My mother was the leader of
traditional Xibelani dance group and she won several awards, therefore music is
in my veins”, said Ngalizo Terror.
It is not surprising why he joined the music
industry while he was young at the age of 15 and started performing at local
stores.
He admitted that there is a serious
competition in the music industry and one thing that kills the moral of artists
is piracy.
Nonetheless, he keeps on pushing and so far
together with his Manager, Thomas Chabalala had managed to build a proper
recording studio under the name Makhowa & Maisimane Production.
Ngalizo Terror further told Sekgosese
Insider that he draws his inspiration from Penny Penny and the late Peta
Teanet.
